Just missed February 2009 by a year

Know what, just realized this year that most February's have 4 Sundays, 4 Mondays, 4 Tuesdays, 4 Wednesdays, 4 Thursdays, 4 Fridays and 4 Saturdays...... and I thought wow, that's a perfect month.

But realized that I missed the Perfect month by almost a year....

Tarkarli Beach, Konkan, Maharashtra - a Family Vacation

Tarkarli Beach is one such beach I had been waiting to visit, ever since papa mentioned about it in January 2009. Lovely waters, they are so clear, clean, and the best part you can walk into the sea for several meters and the water level is only knee-deep. By the way, the other beach I am waiting to visit is Tilamati Beach in Karwar; my sister-in-law's told me that the sand is very grainy over there, almost like sesame seeds. 'Til' meaning 'Sesame seeds' in my mother tongue 'Konkani'.

I shot this video on 1st January, 2010. It was the day after the Lunar Eclipse and we were all on the beach since probably 9 in the morning till way until 12 noon.

On Tarkarli Beach, just before we started to leave we came across a few fishermen who were about to take their boats to the sea. They were not intending to go fishing right away, but somewhere in the evening. They also mentioned that it gets too difficult to be taking their boat to the sea as it gets sunnier (afternoons). I wish I could have stayed a little longer to continue the video recording for a few more minutes. It had been 5 minutes or so since all my family members had cleared from Tarkarli Beach, so couldn't help ending the video.

After getting drenched in the waters of Tarkarli, we went boating on River Karli to see the point where River Karli meets Arabian Sea. Kind of "
Karli meets Tarkarli". Also, a little further from there we landed on Tsunami Island (an island formed by Tsunami that hit South India in 2004).

That River + Sea was full of Seagulls. I regret one video using my mobile camera - I thought I clicked on shooting the video & minutes later when we were away from the group of Seagulls, I saw the message "Camera on Standby". Argggh!!!

A Lazy Blogger

I have to admit, I am a lazy blogger. I had thought at least this time, I'll be regular with my blogs. But looks like I keep changing my mind often. I have started to think why just write one blog with loads of categories mixed up - instead feeling that I should have a different blog for different things like - Embroidery, Crochet, Painting, Knitting (just a beginner), Tunisian Crochet (haven't seen many blogs on this so), Cookery, Photos (just a novice), Rangoli (there was a time I wanted to try all the kinds of rangolis that ever existed), Books I've read (much like a backup for me on what I take from them) etc, etc.

Somewhere, I have come to believe my approach towards life is wrong. Whenever I take up something (literally anything), I want to do everything that's there in it - only to realize that it'll take a lot of time, dedication. But can't help it, I like to work things from A to Z. But I really dont achieve much that way. Because I can't be thinking about just one thing - too many interests.

A Ray of Light - Sathodi Falls

This is one of the pics taken during our office picnic to Sathodi Falls on 10th February, 2008. I like this pic for the Ray of Light that the camera captured
