Pineapple Crochet Shawl

Finally, my wait for a self-made crochet shawl ends with this one

This pattern was a love-at-first-sight (about one & a half year ago) but it took me this long because I was reluctant to work in wool as I wanted to use it as a Jacket and not a shawl. I tried this pattern earlier with black mercerized crochet cotton (2 strands), but then after 6 rows I realized the work was half the size of what it should have been and hence discontinued.

Finally, this rainy season I felt the need for a shawl – as sweater felt too warm and lo I had the pattern and 185 grams of black wool. Think this shawl got done in 7 or 8 hours (Tuesday to Tuesday, about an hour a day).

Visit Caron’s for the Black Pineapple Crochet Shawl pattern.

  3. Thanks I think I figured it out at least it looks ok for the type of yarn I used. Going to try using a different yarn for the next one hoping it will turn out like yours.
