Pineapple Crochet Shawl

Finally, my wait for a self-made crochet shawl ends with this one

This pattern was a love-at-first-sight (about one & a half year ago) but it took me this long because I was reluctant to work in wool as I wanted to use it as a Jacket and not a shawl. I tried this pattern earlier with black mercerized crochet cotton (2 strands), but then after 6 rows I realized the work was half the size of what it should have been and hence discontinued.

Finally, this rainy season I felt the need for a shawl – as sweater felt too warm and lo I had the pattern and 185 grams of black wool. Think this shawl got done in 7 or 8 hours (Tuesday to Tuesday, about an hour a day).

A Crochet Lace

Enjoyed making this crochet lace. Spent 2 days to make a lace long enough to stitch as sleeves for a dress. But on completion, realized the colour, look & feel may not blend well with the dress.

So this lace is waiting in my Lace Collection (Box) waiting to be used; just like 2 other laces, which were started out to be Crochet Tops. Only to realize that Thread Crochet is a lot of work :( but I must say it's interesting as well.

Pullover in Filet Crochet

Filet Crochet is too simple for my taste. This one's my first work in Filet Crochet and probably even the last, until I come across some really interesting/complicated pattern. This one's a Rose

My First Crochet Project

This one's my favorite pattern in crochet and the first one I tried working on. Thanks to Vrinda aunty (my sister's friend's mom) for sharing her collection of patterns. I find myself really lucky to have met aunty & granny, who are so passionate about embroidery, crochet, knitting and all such stuff.
